Three years

To my loving Charlie boy,

It has been a wonderful, fun-filled three years with you. You can never know how much you mean to daddy and me. We waited so long for you to come into our lives and we marvel each and every day with who you've become. You had decided that you wanted to be stubborn very early on. Unfortunately Dr. A had other plans and you were born quite easily after almost 24 hours of labor.

So sweet and innocent. You brought joy and laughter into our lives. You've done an amazing job of keeping us on our toes and we love you all that much more for it. You've had a few objects you didn't want to be without:

Mommy's scarf, your nubby and of course

Blank. Never one to really be into sweets, this past week you discovered cupcakes. While you absolutely loved them Mommy wasn't so sure since you had a sugar high for quite a few hours after. You have become a wonderfully intelligent young man. This past year we've seen your speech improve over and over again. Just this week you were actually able to ask me "Momma, where Dada at?" Simple for some but for you it was a major milestone that melted me. Daddy and I give you all our love and we pray you get everything in life you want. Happy birthday to my sweet baby boy.

Some knitting news

I've finished my Undulating Waves Scarf and man do I love it. I made with Shaefer Yarns Heather. I started this project during the class with Laura Nelkin. She was a great teacher and made learning a new technique very easy.

I've also started the Dragon Scales shawl from Carissa Knits. I'm rather enjoying it and it looks good too.

I've fallen in love with a yarn store. TOO bad its in Missouri. The Loopy Ewe is fantastic. Sheri is a doll to work with and my items come so quickly. Two orders already and a third on the way. The first two were Dream In Colors Starry yarn. OH its so pretty. It has silver strands running through it. Beautiful yarn. I'm not so sure about knitting with it though it seems a little scratchy. I started making the Dragon Scales shawl from Carissa Knits.

I'm officially putting this on the record. I am fighting the idea that my sweet baby girl is growing up.

Just last week she was sleeping in the carseat next to me while I worked.

This week:

She's moved to the big car seat, had her 6 month appt, and has a TOOTH. Yep a TOOTH. How can this be. Wasn't it just yesterday she was 6 lbs and sleeping all the time. Now she's sitting up (almost completely by herself), and is growing like a weed.

Today's stats:
15.6 lbs (35% for weight)
26 inches long (55-60% for height)
and 16 cm head circumference (Just perfect at 50%).

HO! HO! HO!

Which reminds me, our daughter is fully her mommy's guts. I used to pull on my daddy's beard when I was little. A favorite game was to pull with both hands with all my might to get a kiss. Rachael hasn't gotten that good yet but she has started the pulling. So much so that Steve shaved almost completely this weekend. BOY is Rachael mad about that one.
